AxonPlay ("we", "our", or "the app") is a retro game emulator for Android and iOS. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

AxonPlay uses the following services that may process data externally:
When you use the AI Game Assistant feature, a screenshot of your current game screen and your text question are sent to Google's Gemini API for processing. This data is used solely to generate a contextual game hint. Google processes this data according to their Privacy Policy. You can choose not to use this feature.
We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used (e.g., which features are popular, crash reports). This includes anonymized usage data such as screen views, feature interactions, and device information. No personally identifiable information is collected. See Firebase Privacy.
If you enable Cloud Sync, your save files are uploaded to your personal Google Drive account. This requires Google Sign-In. We only access the app-specific folder in your Drive and do not read any other files. You can disable Cloud Sync at any time in Settings.
If you enable RetroAchievements integration, your RetroAchievements username and API key are stored locally and used to communicate with the RetroAchievements API to track game achievements. Your credentials are never shared with any other service.
The Discover section fetches free homebrew game listings from the Homebrew Hub API and downloads game files from GitHub. No personal data is sent during this process.
AxonPlay offers optional in-app purchases and subscriptions ("GBA Pro") through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple or Google — we do not collect or store any payment information.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's store settings (App Store or Google Play). No refunds will be provided for the unused portion of any subscription period.
Free features (emulation, save states, ROM management) remain fully available without any subscription.

AxonPlay does not have user accounts or logins — we do not hold any personal data on our servers. All app data (ROMs, saves, settings) is stored locally on your device and deleted when you uninstall the app. Cloud Sync data is stored in your own Google Drive account and can be managed there. Firebase Analytics collects only anonymized, aggregated usage data that cannot be linked to individual users.
Since we do not collect or store any personal data, there is no personal data for us to provide, delete, or port. If you have any concerns, you can:
AxonPlay does not collect any personal data from users, including children under 13. The AI Game Assistant only processes in-game screenshots (game visuals) — no personal user data, photos, or camera input is ever captured or transmitted.
